Yesterday iRacing supremo Tony Gardner confirmed that the Audi RS3 LMS TCR is coming to the service. But it will not be ready for the June build, maybe a mid-season release.

What is TCR?
The UK&I segment of the iRacing service has been screaming for a BTCC spec Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) for as long as I can remember. But they have persisted with the Kia Optima as a substitute.
While the TCR series is basically dead in the UK, it is still a current touring car spec so I know it will be appreciated.
TCR is a specification that originated in 2014. All cars are 4 or 5 door and use a 2.0 litre turbo engine. The bodyshell and suspension layout of its production counterpart must be retained. Some models even use their production gearboxes. Competition is still subject to Balance of Performance (BoP) to ensure fair and close competition.
All Vehicles have a minimum weight of 1250kg using a production gearbox, 1285kg using a racing gearbox. They have a power output of 350PS (345BHP). TCR also allows front or rear wheel drive but not four wheel drive.

The Audi RS3 LMS TCR makes use of a Volkswagen EA888 2.0 R4 TSI I4 engine. This engine is also used by the SEAT Leon Cupra TCR and the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.
After a little searching there is currently one for sale at €75,000 in 2017 spec. Not a bad price for a car ready to race in international competition!
So are you happy to see this included?
