Automobilista October 2017 development update
To kick off this months Automobilista October 2017 development update Reiza have shown off their new HUD/TV overlay system. Bringing together the best parts of some 3rd party mods they have come up with something that looks clean, modern and full of all the information us sim racers need.
Limited tire sets & component change delays
Next up in the Automobilista October 2017 development update are limited tire sets with cumulative wear and component change delays.
Much like in Formula one, Reiza will be bringing the ability to limit the amount of tires a driver can use in both sing and multiplayer. Added to that, they will have cumulative wear. So even if you do one flying lap on a set, the wear will stay with that set. For me, a very welcome addition and will bring a whole new level of strategy to a race meeting.
Component change delays – If you blow an engine, break your suspension or any other manner of terrible thing, then you will have to stay in the pits while your mechanics fix the issues. This is of course optional but awesome, I think.
The Speilberg track has also gotten some love. Graphics updates, buildings, curbs and run off modifications. Lovely.
The Brazillian manufactured Metalmoro AJR will be coming to the sim as free content. This is an “LMP2-ish” vehicle with differing engine options. A Chevvy V8, Judd V10, Powertec V8 and a Honda I4 Turbo respectively. Reiza claim each engine has their own characteristics but overall they have similar performance.
Reiza say most of these improvements will either make it in to V1.49 or V1.50 which is before christmas holidays. So not long to wait!
